How to Build A City Chic Wardrobe- Trend Setting & Style

What make’s an outfit great? Sometimes it’s the clothes but more often than not, it’s the STYLE.
The basic elements of this outfit are easy
Large Purse
Tank Top
Cropped Blazer
High heel
Now for that bit of Extra…
A city girl with great style pays attention to detail.
Ordinary can be found anywhere but shopping is about “that extra”. It’s any item that doesn’t scream “I’ve seen this all before”.
This outfit started with a statement piece- a crochet scarf $78 by VitalTemptation
TANK TOP -The racer back tank is a basic piece but even this has detail- notice the length- long enough to pair with leggings & skinny jeans while a round cut at the bottom creates a very cool slip effect when tucked into a micro mini skirt.
CROPPED BLAZER- It’s cropped!!! The detailed extra’s- The satin trim lapel adds contrast to the Velvet Fabric of the blazer lending it enough texture to make the blazer a stand alone statement piece when paired with a white tee & jeans.
THE PURSE- Multi-functional. Large enough to fit laptops, makeup, change of shoes. It works as a carry on bag for travel & with special inserts that you can purchase at any baby store; it becomes a chic diaper bag in a pinch. The studded leather front can be both Rocker Chic and City Chic for the woman on the go.
THE SKIRT- Gathers, Pleats, Rouching or bows, any detail on a solid coloured skirt will give it an extra edge. I selected this one for it’s Military Inspired look to compliment the studded leather tote.
THE SHOES- Everyone is wearing a unique flat or a High Heel. The kitten heel stands out from the rest. Different because you don’t see it trending right now and sometimes that’s what being City Chic is all about.
