Street Chic- Get the Look- How to Mix Sequins & Studded Leather for a Great Daytime City Chic Look

Get the Look!

Altuzarra has some of the BEST Pencil Skirts!  This one is no different in all it’s shiny sequin magnificence!  The range of colors, from shades of tan into pink is devine in this fashion forward wardrobe staple.  The light color play makes the sequin stand out more as a texture; than the bold, shiny, traditional night time look of a black sequin. This makes it easier to dress for daytime wear! For a less complicated look try it with a white tee and denim jacket.

Tee’s in white or black or even brown work well with this skirt for a rich autumn look.  Try to Match the color of the tee with a leather Jacket in the same tone and you have a great casual look on the go.

The trick to pulling it off as a cohesive Outfit, is about matching the color of the inside top layer to the outer Jacket.

Here, I worked with black top for a more sophisticated feel.  The Top has a mock collar to bring the eye up.  The belt, (from Lanvin) is Pink & Black to tie the colors of the top to the bottom of the skirt.  It creates a more finished look without making it too dressy or formal.

I pulled a knit jacket from Acne for a Sporty Feel.  To tone down the sequins in the outfit; the knit fabric is important.  If you are going to pull off a bold look (like contrasting a multi colored sequin skirt with a studded leather biker boot) the top half should be as simple as possible.  The Knit Jacket works the same way as a matte finish in this instance.

Knit cap & Matte Leather tote complete the Look.
