The Art of Dress Up
What Inspires you?
There are those times when we like to play dress up…. and there are times when we like the idea of a costume or a theme and it moves us to creatively find a way to sneak the look into our every day lives. Call me half mad but I have always been a fan of Scuba Divers Fashion. I’m not about to throw on some flippers and snorkel my way into the office but the bold color blocking and sleek shine to the neoprene fabric does hold some inspiration. So does the sports team logo t-shirts the boys are sporting at the the pub, but I doubt I would don the cap & pass out the banners at the office either. But this does not mean I am not inspired by the idea of it… So what to do? Creatively find a high powered office look with clear sharp lines, in shiny fabrics with bold color blocking and very pointy city girl shoes of course!
This top is great for it’s sleek color blocked neutrals. The skirt, a well constructed gun metal grey pencil skirt with very sophisticated block panelling & a dash of subtle shine keep with the theme of the season. At the thought of gun metal, why not toss on some metal studded leather pointy toe flats? A Long Coat in the “New Winter White”, only acts as another layer of polish to an already sophisticated look.
